Q: Where are your products made?
A: All of our products are handmade in small batches in the U.K.

Q: Are your products vegan?
A: All of our ingredients and manufacturing practices are regulated with both the Vegan society and Cruelty Free International.  All of our deo’s carry the Leaping Bunny Logo

Q.  Are your products really ‘all natural’?
A. They really are! Our deo’s are 100% natural and packed with plant-based, skin-loving ingredients. Free from everything you want to avoid along with plastic free packaging!  

Q: Do you offer free samples?
A: We do not offer free samples, but you can find our 10g trial sizes in the Minis section. After your purchase you will receive a coupon code to redeem the full cost of your mini against your first full size order.

Q: Which of your deodorants should I buy?
A: We almost always recommend that everyone starts with Clean Deodorant Balm. It’s a wonderful all-rounder. If your skin is very sensitive OR you know you cannot use Sodium Bicarbonate, please go for Gentle Deodorant Cream. We always recommend purchasing a Mini before a full-size pot.

Q: What is a Mini tin?
A: Our 10g Mini tins are designed to help you find the right formula! They are available in Active Orange & Bergamot, Clean Lemon & Geranium and Gentle Coconut & Shea, these gorgeous little tins each contain 10 days of deo.  A perfect trial period to help you decide which formula is suitable for your skin! And, after purchase you will receive a coupon to redeem the full cost of your minis against your next order on a full-size jar!

Q: How does it work?
A: Our deodorants contain antibacterial ingredients that prevent odour causing bacteria from forming. By doing this so effectively we ensure that your underarms remain fresh all day.

Q: Will your deodorant stop me from sweating?
A: Our formulas are a deodorant, not an anti-perspirant. We believe perspiration is a good thing, and we wouldn’t want to clog up your body’s air conditioning system! Our powerfully antibacterial deodorant creams work by eliminating odour causing bacteria. This allows you to stay fresh all day without the need for antiperspirant’ However, many customers report that over time they sweat significantly less. This could be due to allowing your body to regulate sweat production without blocking the pores. 

Q: Do I need to re-apply your deo throughout the day?
A: No, one application is all you need to keep you fresh for 24 hours.

Q: How long does each jar last?
A: With daily use our 55g jars last more than 2 months.

Q: Does your deodorant leave white marks?
A: Our deo has been tried and tested on all sorts of materials and colours and left no white marks! 

Q: What is the difference between your formulas?
A: We offer 4 ranges

Active Deodorant Balm is specifically designed for our demanding situations, gym sessions and holidays, featuring a naturally light fast absorbing powerful formula best suited for occasional or sports use.

Clean Deodorant Balm is your daily go-to, it effortlessly melts into skin for all-day odour protection with antibacterial magnesium and sodium bicarbonate. Enriched with coconut oil and shea butter, it nourishes underarm skin.

Gentle Deodorant Cream is ultra-gentle and amazingly effective on even the most sensitive skin. Magnesium oxide deodorises, white clay keeps you dry, and creamy shea butter protects your underarm skin with a velvety texture.

Teen Deodorant Balm was crafted with young skin in mind, it is gentle enough for daily use yet powerful enough to maintain freshness in the most active underarms! Our smart blend of odour fighting minerals absorbs effortlessly into the skin all wrapped up in a handy tin!

Q: Can I use your Active Range daily?
A: We recommend Active range for occasional use due to its higher Sodium Bicarbonate content; some customers use it daily without issues. However, be mindful of potential skin pH changes, and consider switching to our Clean or Gentle deodorants if Active feels too potent for daily application. If any redness, rash, or reaction occurs when using Active, discontinue use immediately.

HOW TO USE

Q: How do I use the deodorant?
A: Our formulas are applied directly onto the skin using your fingertips. This innovative method ensures that the powerful antibacterial, odour-busting ingredients get straight to work exactly where they’re needed. You only need to apply our deo’s once a day, they’re effective from the first application and leave no residue on underarm skin- so you can dress + GO. Let’s upgrade your morning routine:

  1. Ensure your hands and underarms are clean and dry.
  2. Scoop a small amount of deodorant from the pot.
  3. Warm the cream in your fingertips.
  4. Smooth onto underarm skin until absorbed.

Q: Is it safe to use whilst pregnant?
A: We recommend the Gentle Deodorant Cream Coconut + Shea (Unscented) for pregnancy and breastfeeding because it does not contain any essential oils.

Q: I have long nails and find your deo tricky to apply
A: No problem!  We have our bamboo spatulas available here.

Q: How do I store the balm?
A: Store it in the original pot, in a cool dry place, out of direct sunlight.

Q: Does the balm go off?
A: If the deodorant remains unopened, it will last for two years. After opening the product lasts for one year. With daily use a full size pot should last for more than two months, so you’ll never come anywhere close to the use-by date.

Q: Can I apply the deodorant after shaving?
A: We advise patch testing before doing so. Skin is at its most sensitive post-shave and this could leave to irritation. If you tend to have sore underarms following shaving, it might be wise to leave for a few hours and then apply. Our Gentle Deodorant Cream is almost always fine for use after shaving, but it’s still best to patch test to be sure.

Q: My balm feels weird – what’s happened?
A: It sounds like the active ingredients have sunk to the bottom. This happens occasionally because we purposely do not use any binding agents in our deodorants. 

Q: What should I do if it melts or separates?
A: If your balm melts or separates, take a clean dry implement and thoroughly stir the mixture, then place in the freezer for around an hour. If you live in a cold climate and your balm hardens in low temperates, just pop the bottom of the pot in a warm sink of water.

Q: My balm is lumpy/crystallised – what should I do?
A: We use unrefined Shea Butter in our deo’s (this can sometimes misbehave!) there is the odd occasion where little granules of shea butter can remain in the finished product after setting.  It is quite normal. Although we do fully appreciate that this can make your deo messy and uncomfortable to apply.  However, we do have a little hack which easily fixes the issue. These granules can be dispersed by warming your jar in the microwave for 30 seconds (remember to remove the lid!!) giving it a little stir, put the lid back on and pop in the freezer for 30-60 mins to reset and you will find the texture is as smooth as silk! Alternatively, if you do not have a microwave standing your jar in a bowl of hot water, stirring and popping in the freeze works just as well.

Q: My skin was irritated by your deodorant balm. Why could this be?
A: Even with 100% natural products, some skin types can become irritated. In the case of our natural deodorants it is often down to whether a person can tolerate Sodium Bicarbonate. This is a mineral salt we use in our products as an effective antibacterial. It is slightly alkaline and occasionally causes redness by affecting skin pH. Discontinue use if this occurs and send us a message via email or our contact form. We will be able to help you find the right product for your skin type. It’s very important to take advantage of our Mini sizes for this reason. Gentle Deodorant Cream does not contain Sodium Bicarbonate.

Q:  I am experiencing darkening of the skin under my arms, should I be concerned?
A: If the deodorants are causing darkening of the underarms, it’s usually down to the bicarb, very occasionally, bicarb can lead to darkening of the underarms.  We would like to reassure you that this is in no way harmful, and is simply caused by a change in skin pH. We would suggest changing to our Gentle range, this will help to re-set your skin and resolve any darkness you may be experiencing.

Q: I have a nut allergy, can I use your balm?
A: As one of the ingredients in our balm is coconut oil we would have to recommend speaking to your Doctor before using. Interestingly, the coconut is a member of the palm family and is only a distant relative to the tree nut. The botanical distance between coconuts and tree nuts would suggest that people with tree nut allergies could in fact tolerate coconut.

When contacting us remember to include your order number or where you purchased your deo from, if it’s a deodorant issue then a photo of the bottom of the jar or box (for the batch code) and a photo or video of the deo would be great!

BAMBOO SPATULAS

Q: How long will my spatula last?
A: The truth is, it varies depending on how often you use it, and how you use it. When it’s time to replace it, the spatula will appear less smooth and may look worn.

Q: How do I use my deodorant spatula?
A: Before each use be sure to wash the spatula with a gentle hand soap and dry thoroughly with a towel (exactly as you would do with your hands before application.)

Our deodorant spatulas are not designed to replace fingertip application! They are a tool for anyone who tends to find our deodorant balm/cream gets under their nails. This eliminates the risk of that happening.

Scoop the correct amount of product onto the spatula and smooth onto clean, dry fingertips before applying as usual. Fingertip application is the optimal way to apply our deos and we do not recommend applying the cream straight onto the underarm from the spatula.

Q: How should I store the spatula?
A: After using the deo spatula, wash with gentle soap and allow to air dry.

Q: Can I put the spatula back into the pot after use?
A: Since the spatula is being used as ‘another hand’, you can scoop enough for both underarms at once and transfer it onto your fingertips. Rub your fingertips together and then apply to each underarm as you would usually. If you use this method, there’s no reason to put the spatula into your deo more than once each application.

Please note: if you order a deo spatula along with a 55g jar, we will slot the spatula into the lid of the box to keep it safe in transit.

Q: What method of payment can I use?
A: PayPal or Card.

Q: The product I want is out of stock, when will it be back?
A: If your desired product is out of stock, please send us an email with an exact product name (range and scent) and we will let you know when it will be back. Alternatively, you can check out retailers on our Where To Buy page.

Q: Can I change my order?
A: Once your order has been despatched, we are no longer able to change your order. If you send our Customer Service Team an email as soon as possible we will do our best to help.

SHIPPING

The Natural Deodorant Co. delivers to domestic and international customers.

For UAE addresses, a PO Box address is mandatory. If this shipping destination is selected and a PO Box is not provided we will not be held responsible if the items do not arrive.

Q: How much does shipping cost?
A: Shipping is based on your location and parcel weight. Add your items to the basket and head to checkout to find out your shipping costs.

Your shipping options will be displayed at checkout and will offer one or more of the following:

Royal Mail 48 Tracked for all UK orders

Once your order leaves our warehouse you will receive an email with a tracking number.

  • FREE for orders over £30
  • Usually, 2-5 working days to any UK address including Channel Islands and Isle of Man. Remote UK postcodes may take a day or two longer.
  • Allow up to 7 working days for delivery.

International Standard

We do everything we can to ensure international orders arrive within their normal time frames, but some deliveries may be delayed due to local government restrictions. Any concerns please contact our Customer Service team.

  • Customs duties and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Q: Will I have to pay import charges?
A: Customs charges or import duties are imposed upon the package’s arrival in the destination country. It is the buyers responsibility to pay additional charges related to customs clearance. We have no control over these fees and cannot anticipate their amount. Customs policies differ significantly between countries, so kindly consult your local customs office for more information. If you choose not to pay the customs charges, your order will be returned to our warehouse. Once received and inspected we will refund product costs excluding all shipping fees.

Q: What is the status of my order?
A: Once you have completed your transaction we will send you a confirmation email, and when it ships you will receive a shipping notification. We aim to dispatch all parcels within 3 working days. 

Q: My order hasn’t arrived, can you help?
A: Our delivery service considers a parcel lost after it has been in the postal system for a period of 7 working days for UK orders, 14 working days to Europe and 21 working days for Worldwide orders. Please do contact  [email protected] with your order number and we can check the status of your order.

Q: I missed my delivery
A: If the delivery service has attempted to deliver your item, they will leave you a red card or email/text you to arrange re-delivery or collection.  If you do not arrange a redelivery within 14 days your parcel will be returned to our warehouse.

Q: My order has been returned to The Natural Deo Co.
A: If your order has been returned to our warehouse our customer service team will contact you.  When this happens, we can either refund the order costs (minus shipping) or we can arrange to re-send your parcel for a secondary postage fee. 

Q: I want to return my order.
A: Please email our Customer Service Team within 14 days of delivery with your order number and the reason for return. We will help you with your return

Q: I purchased your product via one of your stockists- can I return it to you?
A: If you purchase our deodorants from one of our stockists, you will need to contact them to enquire about their refund or exchange policy.

Q: I would like to sell your products.
A: Great! Please email our customer service team for more details.

RECYCLING

You can now send your empty jars back to us for recycling.  Wait until you have 6 jars to return and email our Customer Service team for a prepaid label.  Once we have received your jars, we will send you a 15% discount code to use on your next order!
